Hello and Welcome to our little corner of the world.  My wife and I, Mindy Kay, are the proud parents of three rambunctious, energetic, sweet, and loving boys to ever grace this Earth and this is a little about us.

First and foremost we are a Christian family with the goals of Glorifying God, Encouraging Families, Edifying Homeschoolers, and having fun while we do it. 

I was born and raised in West Virginia and I am truly a hillbilly at heart.  I love the Mountains and most of my family still live there.  After graduating from Bluefield State College in the Spring of 1998 I took the summer off and eventually found employment in North Carolina.  That is where I met, in a round about way, my wonderful wife Mindy Kay.

Mindy grew up in Utah and lived her late teens and early twenties in Arizona.  We met in a Christian internet chat room before that kind of thing was cool. We were married October 26, 2002 and she moved to North Carolina as we started our life together. We were blessed three times with our sons Weston Samuel, Jackson David and Gibson Eli.

Mindy never wanted to homeschool, although I was leaning that way, and only through much prayer, consulting family and friends, and scouring the Internet for information, did she finally come around. What  ultimately made her change her mind you ask?  The thought of sending that bright blue eyed boy, with so much energy we would make a fortune bottling it, to a often Godless Public School System for over eight hours a day was more than we could bear.  Weston's love of God and his enthusiasm is what drove Mindy  and myself to homeschool him and his brothers in a Christ centered and learning friendly environment.

That is just a short summary of how our Adventures began, Capstone Academy was born, and what we are looking forward to in the future.
